welcome to our church
You have discovered the Anglican Catholic
Cathedral Church of
St Augustine of Canterbury.
We are a small, friendly congregation in the tiny village of Painters Forstal, Kent, just south of Faversham and the M2 Motor Way. We are 15 minutes drive from the City of Canterbury.
We are so pleased you have visited our website, we hope you will spend some time having a look around and that we may have the pleasure of meeting you in person one day.
* Calling ourselves a “cathedral” may seem a little odd – we are aware that our Church is very small. But in the sanctuary, you will find the Bishop’s chair or cathedra, and it is usual for the building housing such a chair to be known as a cathedral.

Appointment of Cathedral Dean
What our church life looks like
On Low Sunday (the Sunday after Easter) 27th April 2025, The Parish was pleased to welcome The Very Revd Canon Jonathan Munn as Dean and Priest in Charge. Father Munn, who previously served as Dean of the Northern Deanery in the Diocese, (and who also serves as Secretary to the Diocesan Board of Ministry and Education) relocated back to his native Kent , to take up a teaching position at a school in a nearby town.
More about us
The Beginning of ACC
In 1977, following increasing changes to the liturgy, faith and practice of member churches of the Anglican Communion, an international congress of nearly 2,000 Anglican bishops, clergy and lay people met in St. Louis, Missouri. As a result of this meeting “The Affirmation of St Louis” was formulated and published.
Join us for worship this Sunday!
